Work Experience

•    Presently he is working as the Professor and Chairperson(Research) with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade who is spearheading Research activities of the Institute.

•    Prof. Joshi has a scholarly aptitude and a flair for writing. His lucid style of writing makes his books interesting to read and easy to comprehend. His remarkable contribution in the field of management is evident from his books “International Business” and “International Marketing” both published by Oxford University Press which are highly popular and sold worldwide.

•    He is also an IndependentDirector on the Board of Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL), a joint venture of National Fertiliser Ltd. (NFL), Engineers India Ltd. (EIL) and Fertiliser Corporation of India Ltd. (FCIL). He is also a Member, Council ofManagement, All India Management Association (AIMA).  

•    He has a consistently meritorious academic background and was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. He received his education and training from Harvard Business School, Boston; IIFT; Rajasthan Universityand National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. He has been awarded various scholarships right from his school days to Post Graduation.

•    He has been the recipient of International Awards by London Business School, Londonfor the case studies written that were internationally published by European Case Clearing House (ECCH), London Business Schooland Oxfordthat also contributed to international recognition and media publicity besides being used for training administrative officers and diplomats not only in India but also in other parts of the world.

•    He has conducted training programmes, teaching, research and consultancy in several countries including China, the US, France, the UK, Russia, Canada, Italy, UAE, Singapore, Egypt, Hong Kong, Thailand, Tanzania, Oman, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Mauritius, Seychelles, Niger, Philippines etc.

•    In addition to several international assignments, Prof. Joshi has been the Chief Resource Person for conducting prestigious e-Learning Course on "International Trade in Agricultural and Food Products" through VC for Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Japan for participants based in Cambodia, Fiji, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Islamic Republic of Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Republic of China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand

•    His areas of interest include Globalization and its implications, Global Business Strategy, International Business, International Marketing, International Entrepreneurship, Strategy for Emerging Markets, Higher / Management Education

•    Prof. Joshi has been involved in conducting Training Programmes for corporate executives, government officials and diplomats.

•    Prof. Joshi has extensive trans-national exposure and has been associated with several multilateral organizations, such as the World Bankand the Asian Development Bank.
