Headstart is the flagship guest lecture series at IIFT, wherein industry stalwarts and business leaders from across domains and sectors grace the campus and give a talk to the students of IIFT on a chosen topic.
About HEADSTART
A culmination of an Industry Stalwart, inputs and queries from students about how aligned their course work is with what actually transpires behind every headlines in the Economic Times and what it takes to face the corporate world tomorrow.
A multi-pronged initiative by the student body of IIFT to understand and align with industries better, HEADSTART invites a Thought Leader for a day to the campus and involves :

Faculty interaction in related management function
– Course curriculum, Case studies -
Interaction with students on concepts developed by them
–Lecture on the desired topic -
Tea with the Leader
– Select set of students get an opportunity for a session with the Thought Leader , a question on their career progression , industry trends and what it takes to be at the helm of the top most organizations of the world
– Capturing the interaction in form of an interview to be published in domain magazines at IIFT
Objectives of HEADSTART
- Create an action oriented stimulating environment for the institute to integrate Thought Leadership as a part of pedagogy
- Showcasing the applied knowledge and calibre of the student fraternity of IIFT
