Systemix,The Systems Consulting Club Kolkata

Systemix, the Systems Consulting Club at IIFT, aims at imparting technological knowledge & support to empower the students for the elite profiles in the IT industry and work effectively in the corporate world. The club conducts guest lectures, seminars& workshops on various technologies and roles like Systems Consulting, Technology Marketing, Project Management, Business Development, etc. with respect to the IT industry.

The club conducts knowledge transfer sessions on business tools like Excel, SPSS, R, Clementine, MS Project, etc. In association with other clubs, the club also conducts sessions on different technical aspects like Financial Modelling, Marketing Analytics tools, etc. The club also helps the students in learning various presentation tools such as Infographics, Publisher, etc. that help students in the competitions and the corporate world. It also manages a common knowledge repository with students for better learning Newsletter: The club publishes a bi-weekly newsletter to apprise the students about the latest happenings and advancements in the IT industry to keep abreast with the other B-schools.

Club Agenda :

• Aims to inculcate passion and curiosity for technology in prospective young managers
• A platform of insights in IT for young managers
• Provides knowledge about various career options in technology – IT Consulting, Project Management, Product Management, Technology marketing, Business Development etc.
• Dedicated to educate about the functioning of e-commerce industry and every step involved in starting one up
• Conducts global certifications for SAS
• Arranges Business Analytics workshops in association with Industry leaders like KPMG
• Conducts knowledge transfer sessions on tools like Excel, SPSS, MS Office, MS Project etc
• Organizes multiple events and competitions during the year to instil competitiveness and perfection in learning through practice.

Events :

1. MindKrunch: An inter-college Strategy and Analytics Case Competition organized by the club for the participants to solve case studies that require both strategic and analytical skills. The final round requires presenting the solution in front of a jury of corporate veterans in the field of strategy and IT.

2. Strategy-Analytics Summit: Systemix conducts a National IT conclave during Vivaan, the flagship International Business Summit at IIFT, that intends to provide an opportunity for the students to interact with the business leaders in the field of Information Technology and learn about the trends, issues and opportunities in the sector.
